The COFEPRIS permit is your clinic's to file, not ours
Mexico requires a COFEPRIS sanitary import permit before human reproductive material can enter the country. It is applied for by the receiving Mexican clinic, under that clinic's own COFEPRIS registration, through the VUCEM portal. A courier cannot file it and neither can you.
We say this plainly because it decides your date, and because anyone who tells you they will obtain the permit for you is describing something the clinic has to do. What we do is prepare and carry the shipment-side documentation, and work directly with both laboratories so their paperwork lines up.
Expect around four to six weeks between unrelated clinics. Where both clinics belong to the same organisation it is often quicker, and some have a standing process. Ask your receiving clinic before you plan around either figure.

Common questions
Do I need a COFEPRIS permit to bring embryos into Mexico?
Yes. Mexico requires a COFEPRIS sanitary import permit before human reproductive material can enter the country. Importantly, that permit is applied for by the RECEIVING clinic under its own COFEPRIS registration, not by the courier and not by you. Your Mexican clinic files it. We coordinate with them and carry the shipment-side documentation, but the permit itself is theirs.

How long is the transport itself?
Short. Our couriers are based in Houston, so Monterrey is roughly a ninety minute flight and Mexico City about two and a half hours. Once the paperwork is cleared, a transfer is normally same day or next day door to door. The permit sets your date, not the flying.
What does transport to Mexico cost?
From $2,900 for a transfer originating in the Houston area, where no positioning travel is needed. Transfers originating elsewhere in the US carry a positioning leg and typically start from $3,600. Every quote is priced against the actual route rather than read off a rate card, and the figure we give you is all inclusive.
Does the specimen go through X-ray?
No. It stays in the cabin with the courier and is not screened by X-ray. If a customs officer insists on scanning, our courier stops and calls you, and we either continue with your consent or abort the leg.
