Embryos, eggs and sperm imported into Nigeria are reviewed against:

• NAFDAC (National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) — biological materials clearance.
• Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) — confirmation that the receiving fertility clinic is licensed.
• Nigeria Customs Service — UN3373 declaration, valuation letter, and—if hand-carried—a sworn courier statement.

Step-by-step: the diaspora shipping playbook we recommend

1. Confirm your Lagos clinic's NAFDAC import letter is current.
2. Lock embryologist availability windows on both sides (origin clinic + Lagos clinic).
3. Schedule the dry-shipper fill at origin no more than 72 hours before wheels-up.
